New Visitor/Invite a Friend
Welcome! It is a pleasure for me to welcome you to a place we would like for you to call home for Spiritual growth. Our goal is to inspire you to continue to develop a closer personal relationship with Jesus Christ, whether you are still "exploring" God, a relatively new convert to Christianity or a long time disciple of Christ who may be thinking about "transferring" to Allen Temple.
We are committed to serving our community by ministering to the spiritual, social and physical development of all people. We do not claim to be a perfect church...but are working hard every day to get better.
So where do we go from here? We invite you to get to know us better by getting involved and sharing your talents while being enlightened, inspired and nurtured at The Temple.

Additional Information
Do you offer transportation services/assistance? Yes. We offer transportation services via our church vans for those who may need assistance getting to church. Please contact the church office at 513.531.7539 at least 72 hours in advance of your needs to arrange transportation.
What kind of accommodations do you provide for hearing impaired individuals? We provide qualified and experienced sign language interpreters for each service.
Is Allen Temple affiliated with a particular denomination, or non-denominational? Allen Temple is part of the African Methodist Episcopal Church founded in 1786 by Bishop Richard Allen. Our Mission is to minister to the social, spiritual, and physical development of all people. Our vision as a denominational church is to seek out and save the lost, and to serve the needy.
Our Purpose is to:
-
Make available God's biblical principles.
-
Spread Christ's liberating gospel.
-
Provide continuing programs which will enhance the entire social development of all people
When do serve Holy Communion? Holy Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month. It is the practice of Allen Temple and the AME Church to welcome all persons to partake in Holy Communion, what we refer to as "Open Table." We invite individuals and families to take communion together and we have special accommodations for people with disabilities or a handicap.
What about the kids and younger family members? Your children are welcome to worship in the "Big Church". We also offer a nursery (with restricted viewing and audio feed) in view of the main sanctuary for infants and preschoolers. Preschool and Elementary children, and Middle and High School youth are welcome to attend Church School at 9:30 AM on the First, Second and Third Sundays; and 9:00 AM on the Fourth and Fifth Sundays.
How should I dress? You will see a variety of dress, from jeans to suits. Wear whatever you're comfortable in when meeting new people and you'll fit in just fine.
