Senior Pastor

Pastor Allen wants you to know first and foremost that he is a “Child of the Living God”. He has served as the Senior Pastor of Allen Temple since November 2007. Pastor Allen was born and raised in Western (Sharon) Pennsylvania, where he became a born again Christian in July 1984. One year later (1985), he accepted his calling to preach under Rev. Dr. James H. Harris, his father in ministry. He brings nearly 30 years of experience as the senior pastor of several churches in Pennsylvania and Ohio during which he has developed a passion for training young seminarians to preach God’s Word. Pastor Allen received the Doctorate of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary (Dayton, OH) in May 2006, after earning a Masters of Divinity degree from Payne Theological Seminary (Wilberforce, OH). He completed undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in African Studies. However, Pastor Allen is most proud of his degree in “Common Sense” which he got from "Carrie Allen University", the home of his praying mother. Pastor Allen is married to Francietta and is the proud father of twin children, Alphonse Hassiem and Alexis Amira.

First Lady

There are many words one could use to describe Fran Allen, committed, dedicated, strong, relentless, hard working, a wife, a mother, a true friend. Our First Lady is not your typical church first lady, this description isn't to demean or insult others, but to simply honor and recognize the uniqueness that is Lady Fran! a college educated woman, but hard work, life, and faith made her who she is. Fran earned an associates degree in Computer Science, and later in life returned to school earning and graduating with her nurses degree. With 28 years in the field of medicine as a registered nurse, and 16 years working for Grand View Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio as the Lead Nurse for the General Surgery Team, Fran is currently studying to receive her BSN degree. A fashion icon, shoe diva, choir directing, and a preaching, teaching, cheerleader, but do not get it twisted! its not just about her she is the foremost supportive and leading "Amen'er" of her husband's preaching.
